Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to tidy up messes quickly and efficiently, a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The top robot vacuums and mops that I have tested are top-quality in navigation and mapping as well as the ability to remove Cheerios, tangled wires and fake dog turds with out leaving them behind.
You can also schedule cleaning chores with an app and monitor their progress.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop combination with cutting-edge features consider the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and was able to pick up pet hair and human dander almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It features a sleek and elegant app interface that comes with a miniature map of your home as well as buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology allows it to alter the cleaning mode based on dirt levels. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust while it will prioritize carpeted areas to mop with a damp pad.
The mop roller comes with a number of other smart features, including a dock that can be connected to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without you needing to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8, you can use voice commands to set rooms cleaning options and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want a hands free robot vacuum that also has mopping capabilities. It's among the many combinator robot vacuums that include mopping features that are also priced lower than competitors.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This includes setting up an account with the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've done this, the robot will begin vacuuming and mopping effortlessly.
It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process may take a while and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get a good picture of your room. The object detection is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles, but it was stuck on a looser rug with tassels and had to flip over to get it out of the way. But these are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube is still a ideal choice for those who need an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete provides a three-in-one cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubs. This results in floors being cleaned and not just swept. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can reach places even robot vacuums cannot.
This model is nearly identical to the well-known X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction capacity of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app lets you customize various settings, including scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each job to wash their pads, empty their dust bins and then place the debris in the self-sealing bags. This helps keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from returning to the system. And its battery lifespan is long enough to handle large spaces without the need for a recharge during cleaning.
- Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum and mop model that offers impressive features at affordable prices. It features powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets, and a great obstacle-avoiding. It also has an innovative mopping technique which uses a rolling device that is continuously misting with water to capture dirt and then deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It stayed clear of the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing. However, it did struggle with finely engrained debris and wasn't always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating sound level is also quite high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as others.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you replenish its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to an established schedule. Eufy's app allows you to manage all the functions. It gives clear information and plenty of configuration options.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums/mowers available, and it provides impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent accuracy, and the app lets users fine-tune coverage of the map, define zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which can be a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too and comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system also includes intelligent carpet detection, which lifts these pads upward when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to prevent contamination of them with.
The docking station that is all-in-one functions as a hands-free center for maintenance which is capable of automatically drying and washing the mops before refilling them with water and detergent. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their dust bins every time they have to be emptied.
- S10
This robot is only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my office tidy. It can also reach all corners of my tiny apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to make a map of your home and knows where not to go. It has an object/obstacle detector that will stay clear of things like toys and dog bowls (but not Poop) unlike most vacuums.
Other amazing features include a self emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also customize the settings for each room, and set up cleaning schedules.
It has the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and is able to distinguish between laminate and carpets with high-pile rug. It can also skip mopping rooms that are not clean if you want to reduce time. If you have a wide range of flooring in your home and don't wish to spend additional money for a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping capabilities it is a great option.
- Q5 Pro
This robot is a great option if you are seeking a flexible robot that can do both regular maintenance and touch-ups to messy water stains. It has a range of features such as a self-emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, and customizable settings via the app. It's surprisingly quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. However, it can't remove the tangled tassels of rugs and it's battery drains slightly faster than other models in our tests.
With a price tag of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and a handy automation into a slick design. It didn't do as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it performed very well overall. It also offers a range of cleaning modes to meet your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' option for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for carpeted rooms. It will even automate the removal and reattachment of mop pads without causing your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great robot vacuum and mop for people who live in cramped spaces. It is very silent and fast, and it can navigate tight spaces efficiently. It's also extremely effective in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its rivals, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a good amount of suction power, and it is able to take a photo of each object it picks up (i.e. chew toys, or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they aren't taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are secure and not connected to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, but it isn't quite as efficient at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and it essentially drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
